Illustrated map as a wedding gift for guests
One of the most enjoyable projects of the year, an illustrated map created for a lovely couple who got married in Madrid.
They wanted to offer their guests something unique and personal: a map featuring their favorite places in the city, a piece that celebrates the vibrant culture, colors, and energy of Madrid.
The visual identity of their wedding was inspired by Joan Miró, one of my favorite artists as well, so this project became even more special. To stay close to Miró’s spirit, I made all the linework by hand using ink, and then added the colors digitally. The combination of organic lines and vivid shapes helped keep that expressive, playful character that defines Miró’s work.
